For many years, Maitreya has sought to influence world leaders into taking the decisions which will make future world conflict not only impossible, but unthinkable. Slowly, but ever more surely, the powers have edged their way to solutions, based on compromise, which augur well for the future of mankind. Much is happening behind the scenes, far from the public gaze, which, when completed, will guarantee future world peace and satisfy at last the Desire of all nations.

Men can now, with confidence restored, set about the tasks of transformation, political, economic and social, which will engage their best minds and efforts for many years. For too long have they laboured under the threat of war. For too long has that threat misdirected the energies and wealth of nations great and small. Now, at last, can the peoples look to the future with hope and assurance that all will be well, that never again will their bright flowers of youth be sacrificed in vain.

The shortest route

Maitreya has said that each one is important, none too young or too weak to serve. Knowing this, there is but one path to take — the path which, through service, leads to God. In this coming time, many will find this the shortest route to the Source and the purpose of their incarnation.

Maitreya awaits the engagement of all who would transform the world, for “nothing happens by itself; man must act to implement his will”. Relieved of the threat and the burden of war, those who wish to serve the world should enter now the arena and do battle with injustice, poverty and pain.

Seen in retrospect, history presents a picture of ordered, sequential change. All seems inevitable, gradual, guided by some unseen hand. In reality, the changes have been often swift and sudden, calling into question the adaptability of men. At this momentous time in the long history of the race, men are witnesses to changes both sudden and radical, galvanizing in their import, and radiant in their promise. Now is the time, as never before, for each one to grasp the opportunity to serve in some way, to influence the direction of change, and ensure the creation of a just and stable world.

Foundations

Maitreya beckons and points the way, but men themselves must envision the future and build the foundations on which, in all its beauty, it may rise. We, the Elder Brothers, stand ready to assist in the preparation of that base; to ensure that the needs of all are acknowledged and accepted, that the Law of Brotherhood underlies all plans.

When We enter, openly, the life of men, Our task will be twofold: to inspire the willing acceptance of those changes which will guarantee the further expression of the Will of God, and to guide humanity in the implementation of the practical steps by which God’s Plan can manifest. We are here to serve, and, if you are willing, we shall together transform this world.
